Daaaaaaaang Girl!!!

– Steve being awesome post WOD –
I have witnessed in the past two days spectacular feats of strength and agility.

  • Let me begin with Matt Meadows getting a PR in his power clean which was 195lbs, the most weight he has ever cleaned without injury.
  • I watched not one but three different WOMEN power clean 95lbs, Darin the verteran, Angie the newbie, and Rita my sister.
  • I saw two other women do text book double unders throught todays entire workout, Julia and Roxanne, which is if you know “double Under” is no small feat.
  • I saw another two WOMEN get their FIRST double under post workout, Tara and Nicole, and listening to them do it was music to my ears.
  • Then, then then… we had our 11th GIRL at Heyday get her first pull up: Tara, and let me just say, she has been working her ASS (pardon my french) off for the past three months after every workout doing pull ups.

That just goes to show if you set your mind to a goal and are willing to work for it you are capable of doing ANYTHING!!! Ricky said it a month ago about how far you guys have come… and he was freaking right! One month later and look at how much all of you have improved!
Keep up all the hard work and stay commited. You guys inspire me to be a better coach and a better athlete, so all of you walk a little taller and have a ton of FUN this weekend and enjoy your rest days ! 🙂
Oh.. I almost forgot! Brian, the “Bear”, backing up the saying that “Old Dudes Rule” was one of two people that were able to do todays WOD as Rx’d, the other one being Ricky, Brian you raise the bar for all of us so keep it up.
