I Used To Be A 1 Man Wolfpack…

But now I’m a fifty (or so) man wolfpack.
I came across this poem by Rudyard Kipling from the Jungle book. I liked it alot because it reminds me of  you (and you, and you). Well, the whole gym actually.
Goes like this:
Now this is the law of the jungle, as old and as true as the sky,
And the wolf that shall keep it may prosper,                                                                                                                                                                                                                       but the wolf that shall break it must die.
As the creeper that girdles the tree trunk,                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       the law runneth forward and back;
For the strength of the pack is the wolf,                                                                                                                                                            and the strength of the wolf is the pack.

Preach on Kip. I always tell people that first come here that just being around you all will make you stronger. You will lift more, run faster, and go longer, all because you have others along side you doing the same. You bond in the process.
Sure, anyone can follow the site and do the workouts solo. But the magic happens from the synergy of working out with people. You realize quickly your limits aren’t what you thought when you have several people screaming at you, spewing spit and encouragement to keep you going. You finish and find yourself saying, “There is no way I could of done that alone.”
No, you couldn’t. I couldn’t. I need my wolfpack.
Yup, I am a much fitter man because of you. We are a family related, not by blood, but by sweat.
I know, you’re touched. I plucked your heart strings and now you need a tissue 🙂
Anyway, That’s enough cheeziness for now.
