This coming Saturday morning at 8am we will commence our new introductory weightlifting class.
It is open to any members looking to get an introduction to the Olympic lifts of the snatch and clean & jerk or honing in on lifts you get get much opportunity to practice in classes.
For athletes with little to no weightlifting experience, this class will serve as an introduction to Olympic weightlifting in which you will learn the fundamentals and basic technique of the snatch and clean & jerk. For athletes with some weightlifting experience, the class is designed to follow progressions for improving the snatch and clean & jerk as well as overall strength and power development.
Whether you are a beginner or intermediate athlete, this class will be a great way to improve your lifting technique, strength, and power.
The class will be headed by Shannon who is a Certified Level 1 USA Weightlifting Coach and Currently trains under the highly acclaimed weightlifting program at Waxman’s Gym in Manhattan Beach.
To attend, you can sign up week to week in the gym. First come first serve if slots fill up you can wait list for the following week.
